Video of the week: Kuchi Kuchi-J’odie

J’odie (born Joy Odiete Eseoghene) sprung to the limelight in 2007 when she contested in the Idols West Africa show.

She grew up in Lagos, singing in church and school choirs, and since her stint on the musical talent show she’s been honing her musical talent. She’s performed at various events and has worked with Idols West Africa winner Timi Dakolo, as well as gifted producers Cobhams and TY Mix.

Though she came out sixth, she was arguably the most ttalented and powerful voice at that competition. We are glad that she hasn’t rested on her oars but has gone on to release this masterpiece.

An artist and jeweler who’s inspiration comes from personal experience and the Bible, released the single Kuchi Kuchi [Oh Babythe rhythmic Zouk track, to rave reviews.

This is her first video, for the baby-inspired Zouk and is our video of the week.
