It is the first working day of the week, and the last day in the month of September, it has been an eventful year for me; there have been loads of down, there have been ups too; there have been promises made and those broken; i have learnt a lot, and taught others a lot; i have given voice to many dreams and shied away from others; i have fallen in love and fallen out of love; i have rejoiced with some and cried with others; i have made money and lost money too; so much has happened in life, love, business, etc but it has all made me a better person. If you haven’t been involved in much, you would probably say the year just went by without you knowing; for some, the year traveled too fast.
My thoughts are roving around the fact that we are in the last day of the ninth month of a year that started a short while ago. I think approaching the 4th quarter of the year is a good place to examine how far we have come. Nine months signals the full-term of a pregnancy being carried and it is the time to give birth. I hear in my spirit, that it is time to give birth to that dream, that vision, though it has tarried thus far and in waiting for the manifestation you have toiled, i hear it is time for the laborers to reap. Have you been laboring? You will need to take steps of faith that signify the last push that will birth your vision.
Where you are today is a combined effort of your actions and in-actions; no outcome should surprise the beneficiary of that outcome. It would be funny to ask “how did I get here?”; if you asked that question? Issue is, were you sleeping at the wheels? did you enter the right car? did you not know where you were driving to? or do you even know how to drive? Or you didn’t figure out the bus stops you were going to berth at? January – September is about 280 days, now that is a long time for a lot of diverse events, processes and engagements to have occurred to produce your desired result.
Having a dream is not enough, you need a plan of action and you need to step out on that action. This could just be the only difference between the $100 you earn presently and the $10,000 you could have been earning if you had given yourself to a regimented system of duty. Success is in the habit; not having a routine that ensures you are doing something daily in the direction of your dreams, is a disaster. In spite of prayers and hard work, your desired end needs to choose who and how you want to leverage your present. If your prayers do not inspire a work for you to do, that is a sign of disaster. Remember that faith without works is death. If you feel no birth pangs, maybe you never prepared for this moment. There are a few things you need to do to start setting up your hands for accessing your breakthrough.
First you need to thank God for the fact that you are still alive, that is a key reason that God still has a purpose for your life. Then you need to ask yourself, what was my dream in January? What did I choose to accomplish I this year? Next ask yourself, how far from where I am from the preferred end. After evaluating that, you need to ask yourself what stopped me from accomplishing? Then set new goals for the remaining part of the year; write something that you would do daily – this is one of the most important ways to build a new character culture. It is better to do something about your dream destination 30 minutes daily, rather than 5 hours on Saturdays. Then after setting up new goals, and drawing up a to-do list, you will need to persevere, you need to frustrate life with your desire to succeed that life may live you alone. Then very importantly, you need to submit yourself to mentor-ship or an authority figure; this will help keep you on track and under pressure to deliver.
Nobody can go it alone, to give birth to your dreams you will need mid-wives, September makes it nine months into the year 2013 – are you ready to give birth yet? If you are, then take the push, if not, you have work cut out for you, do not miss the next birthing season. God bless you!
