Part 1: To Find Purpose, You Must First Die!

I decided to take part in a 30 day blogging challenge. So it is on; I have a reason to write and be held accountable for writing at least one post daily. This is gonna be awesome!

To Find Purpose, You Must First Die!

Have you ever wondered why you are doing what you are doing today? Have you ever bothered to stop and ask for a minute what it is that has set you on the particular grind, cycle, path or line that your life has taken in the last few days, weeks, months or years? One of the profound beauties of our lives is the fact that we have an awesome privilege as human beings – We Can Think!

If you’ve seen the movie “Guardians Of The Galaxy”, ‘We Can Think’ sounds like ‘I Am Groot’, Lol.. It is a beauty and privilege of unimaginable proportions that we can think independently, hence react independently. Unfortunately, this awesome privilege has not been explored by the majority of humanity in making life-changing judgment calls. I know you think about what to eat, what to wear, where to go, who to go with, how to drive, etc.

It is said the we make thousands of decisions per day. I would ask that you consider this though – how much percentage equity of your thoughts is concerned with having the power to connect you to your one, true, living, divine purpose? It is true many of us have dreams, (or should I say had dreams?), as children, we had ideas that could change the world. For a few of us, we streched that experience till we got into university, then in the race and hustle to live up to life’s expectations, traditions and stereotypes, we lost our dreams.

Many of us are doing what we are doing today, only because it gives us money and pays our bills. But let me remind you friend, while making money is great, while taking care of your family, life is a whole lot deeper! Should you be stuck in a daily 5am to 9pm just to earn big? Should you have a business that takes you away from enjoying the truly great smell of life around you? What are you doing that is so important that you have lost touch with the greater purpose to life? Shouldn’t you retrace your steps and figure out a better way? shouldn’t you resign and start a business? Shouldn’t you close your business and partner with someone else? Isn’t your dream and passion big enough for you to pack, pull over, check your particulars and decide on a better way?

…to be concluded tomorrow
